SAPEC is now offering a prevention workshop for establishing a community of responsibility.
KU students have an important role to play in the prevention and intervention of sexual violence.
Jayhawks Give a Flock is a bystander education and prevention workshop developed for college students at the University of Kansas. Based on the curriculum of Bringing in the Bystander®, the program provides participants with the skills to help them act when they see behavior that puts others at risk for violence, victimization, or perpetration. These include speaking out against rape myths and sexist language, supporting victim/survivors, and intervening in potentially violent situations.
Workshops are available to all undergraduate and graduate students at no charge. APlease sign up for one of our sessions at the links below. Please note, workshops are open to enrolled students at the University of Kansas only. Participants are required to arrive on time and stay for the entire training. If you arrive after the group agreements have been established, you may be asked to leave and sign up for a different training. If you have questions or need to cancel your registration, email email@example.com.

Jayhawks Give a Flock utilizes situations and topics that can be difficult for some survivors of sexual violence and/or intimate partner violence. Support for all affected by sexual violence and/or intimate partner violence is available through the confidential CARE Coordinator.
If you feel this program will be a detriment to your emotional health and well-being due to a personal history of sexual or intimate partner violence, you may schedule an alternative in-person program with the confidential Care Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
