Biography —
Ricky is originally from Greenville, SC. He has a BA in Religion from Morehouse College. He has worked as an advocate and educator for a number of years. Prior to joining the staff at SAPEC he spent time at Pathways to Healing (previously known as Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands) as the Underserved Survivor Outreach Coordinator, working with rural communities, adult men, elders, and LGBTQIA+ folks in addition to working as a confidential advocate. Most recently he worked at Colorado State University as the Men’s Programming and Violence Prevention Coordinator focusing on programming and education for male students around gender-based violence, interpersonal violence, and healthy masculinities. During his time at CSU he also co-taught a class called Fraternities and Sororities Against Sexual Assault. He is currently a member of the MAAPP Advisory Board for SafeSport and a trainer for A Call to Men. In his free time Ricky loves to watch sports and is a huge Notre Dame football fan. In addition to his passion for sports Ricky loves to explore nature, cook, and listen to R&B music.
